Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes how VectorQ Lab handles personal information when you visit or use AsterWise. It applies internationally to the launch service. It does not replace a model provider's own privacy terms for content that provider processes.

Information we handle

We handle account and authentication information supplied through WorkOS, including your name, email address, connected sign-in method, session and lifecycle identifiers. Stripe supplies payment status, billing contact details and transaction identifiers; AsterWise does not receive full card details.

We handle account settings, API-key metadata, balance and ledger records, request configuration, token usage, timing, errors, provider-routing facts, security events and support communications. API keys are shown once and stored as verifiers rather than recoverable secrets.

When research collection is enabled, request and response content and submitted playground originals may be copied into the research archive as described in the Data Collection Policy.

Why we handle it

We use information to authenticate users, provide and secure the service, route inference, calculate exact usage, process payments, recover interrupted operations, prevent abuse, communicate essential notices, answer support requests, meet legal obligations and improve reliability.

Research material is handled for routing research, evaluation and possible future training preparation. AsterWise does not train a model on that archive at launch.

Sharing and international processing

We share only the information needed with service providers that perform identity, payment, database, hosting, storage, email and model-inference functions. The current providers are listed in the Provider and Subprocessor List.

AsterWise is operated from Australia and uses providers and infrastructure that may process information in the United States or other countries. Their privacy protections and legal requirements may differ from those where you live.

Retention and security

Account, security, usage and financial records are retained for service operation, dispute handling, audit and legal needs. Purchased-credit and transaction history are retained after account closure. Research material may be retained indefinitely under the launch policy. Temporary playground originals are removed through application cleanup with a storage-expiry safety rule.

We use access controls, private storage, scoped credentials and transport encryption, but no system can guarantee complete security. Do not submit credentials or sensitive information that is unnecessary for your task.

Your choices and requests

You can disable future AsterWise research collection in Settings. That choice does not remove prior research copies, stop provider processing, or disable operational, security, usage and financial records needed to provide the service.

For access, correction, closure or privacy questions, contact support@asterwise.dev. Authenticated deletion of collected research material is not self-service at launch; requests are reviewed against operational, legal and technical retention needs.
